Winter Coming
The mornings are getting darker now. My body clock wakes me at 7am every morning, but there is less and less light so I get a little confused. Think it's still night time and I can continue to sleep.
This morning it wasn't until I arrived at work that the sun broke. I was walking across the carpark and there was still a blueness to the edges of things, but before me the glass front of my building was reflecting the mother-of-pearl sunrise. It was like spun silk, delicate and thin. It seemed to light the building up from the inside, softly welcoming.
Good morning, I said, and stepped inside. Great morning.
